ONE's first big show of 2025 was full of surprises.

The ONE 170 main event saw {Tawanchai} deliver a spectacular performance to retain his ONE Featherweight Muay Thai title in a thrilling rematch against {Superbon}. Facing the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing champion and top-ranked contender, Tawanchai left no doubt about his dominance in the division.

The bout began with Tawanchai immediately asserting his control, using his exceptional speed and precision to overwhelm Superbon. A series of sharp, mid-range boxing combinations had the challenger reeling in the first round. By the second, Tawanchai shifted into an even higher gear, knocking Superbon down three times with devastating boxing combinations – a sequence similar to Chingiz Allazov's stoppage over Superbon in 2023.

INTERIM BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

The evening also saw 20-year-old sensation {Nabil Anane} claim the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai world title with a commanding win over {Nico Carrillo}. Standing at 6-foot-4, Anane used his height and reach to perfection, keeping Carrillo on the outside while landing with surgical precision.

The Algerian-Thai prodigy dropped Carrillo three times in the first round—a crisp right hand initiated the damage, followed by a head kick that left Carrillo staggered. A final barrage of strikes forced the referee to step in, crowning Anane the interim champion.

With this victory, Anane sets his sights on a unification bout later this year against reigning champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, promising another thrilling chapter in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

MASAAKI NOIRI BACK ON TRACK

{Masaaki Noiri} put on a striking masterclass at ONE 170, dominating {Shakir Al-Tekreeti}. The former K-1 champion's precision and control were evident throughout, as he systematically dismantled his opponent.

Noiri’s relentless attack kept Al-Tekreeti on the defensive, with the devastating calf kicks causing significant damage and leaving him unable to continue.

Al-Tekreeti confirmed on social media after the fight that he fractured his leg and is now in a cast. Noiri’s victory makes him a likely contender for ONE 172, set to take place in Tokyo, Japan live on March 23, 2025.
