{Ryujin Nasukawa} avenged his previous defeat to {Kazuki Osaki}, edging the defending champion by split decision after an extension round to capture the RISE World Super Flyweight title at the RISE WORLD SERIES 2026. Fighting at their natural 53 kg weight after their controversial first meeting at 55 kg earlier this year, Osaki immediately looked to pressure Nasukawa with low kicks and combinations, forcing him onto the ropes for long stretches of the opening round.
Nasukawa gradually found his rhythm in the second, using his jab, left hook, and sharp counters to keep Osaki at bay.
Osaki continued to press forward through the middle rounds, mixing body shots and kicks into his attacks, while Nasukawa looked to intercept him with punches and knees. The fight became increasingly physical at close range, with repeated clinches and exchanges in the pocket. Osaki suffered a cut above his left eye following an accidental clash of heads in the fourth round, but continued to push the pace. Neither fighter was able to clearly separate himself over the five rounds, and the judges scored the bout a draw, sending the title fight into an extension round.
The additional round followed the same high-pressure pattern, with Osaki continuing to attack the body and Nasukawa answering with left hooks, right uppercuts, knees and a spinning back kick. After another closely contested three minutes, the judges awarded Nasukawa the fight by a 2-1 split decision, crowning him the new RISE World Super Flyweight champion.
Both fighters collapsed to the canvas after the final bell, while Tenshin entered the ring to celebrate with him. The victory completed Ryujin's revenge and extended his run of success at 53kg.
An emotional Ryujin spoke about how his family and friends helped him through his struggles, while also highlighting his older brother Tenshin’s upcoming boxing world title challenge, a rematch against Takuma Inoue.
